happy thanksgiving...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful, safe, filling holiday. We've been having a great time enjoying the fall. Pumpkins, football, fall leaves...what could be better? We spent Thanksgiving this year in Tennessee visiting Rory's Grandpa and Great-grandma. We hadn't seen Grandma Jo in a long time and it was great to catch up.
Rory, Rylan, Kara and I went to the pumpkin patch this year and the kids got to play with and ride in a wagon and pick out their own pumpkins.

And here Rory is 'carving' her first pumpkin...(in case you were wondering, she is using a safety knife.)

For Halloween, Rory was dressed up as a 'Renaissance Princess' to go along with Rylan's dragon costume. We went around to visit some of the neighbors close by and get some candy for the adults. ;)

As is tradition, Chad, Rory and I went down to Devil's Den to see the fall leaves and hike around. Our outing was cut short by some rain, but Rory got to check out a big old stump that was out there and go down the slide a few times. And as promised, here's a picture of Chad and his new 'do. It really looks great and I'm glad he still has enough hair to put it in a ponytail.

Here we are at her buddy Rylan's house again. He has a great yard for jumping in and throwing around leaves. (Even better because we're not the ones who have to rake them. :)

Rory doing her favorite thing...trying on other people's shoes...

And finally helping me bake some cookies for friends.

We hope you all have a wonderful, safe, happy, healthy holiday season and holiday travels, and look forward to hearing from you. I'll try to get some pictures up from Thanksgiving and of Rory's niece, aunt and uncle from our visit to Tennessee soon...I hope. It's sure a busy time of year, but one of my favorite as well.
