gardens and anniversaries...

May is such a good month. The weather is warming up and it's a month of celebrations. This May we've had more rain in Arkansas than we've had in over 120 years. It's been pretty amazing, but our plants and grass love it. Yesterday was our four year anniversary and today Rory is seven months old. I can't believe it's been that long already, and it's been a great four years (and an even better seven months). Our friends Kara and Jesse watched Rory for us so that we could go out to dinner together. It was a very nice evening. Here's Rory, Chad and me before we went out...

Last weekend we got finished constructing and putting in our garden boxes and planting our veggies and herbs. I scavenged some herbs from friends' yards and we bought some at the Fayetteville Farmer's Market. We got our veggie plants from the farmer's market and the farmer's co-op in town. Here are some pictures of our plants and the garden boxes.

And here are some pictures of Rory being Rory. She really enjoys hanging out in her new Pack 'n' Play from Grandma that will be making the trip up to Ohio with us in July.

Rory is the queen of spit up and Chad made me promise I'd put this action shot on the blog.
Next post we'll tell you about Chad's first gig out with his band at the Roller Derby and post a picture of Rory with her favorite Roller Girl!
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
