And here she is playing the upside-down monkey game with Papa...
On Friday we hiked a mile down to a creek with a waterfall that people could jump off of. The water was nice and cool on a hot day...a little too cool for a baby to go in, but we got a picture of her with Mommy while everyone else was swimming. It felt like it was a lot more than a mile back up and we were wishing that we could have hiked up to the creek instead of down.
Rory was the star of the festival riding around in her Ergo carrier with the new drool pads courtesy of Mom, some scrap fabric and some snaps. We also picked up the cute hat for her to help keep her rosy cheeks from getting burned.
Here's Chad signalling to our friends Doug and Andrea so they could find our campsite Thursday night. We were there for the full moon on Sunday night, but this was a pretty cool shot even though it wasn't quite full yet.
Overall we had an amazing time. We could see and hear the bands play on the Main Stage from our campsite, so Rory and I spent most of our time there. A lot of the highlights were at the smaller stages and were bands we hadn't heard before. Check out David Hasselhoff on Acid. They were a surprise highlight, althought the Black Crowes and Les Claypool did not disappoint.
And just for fun, I thought I'd share a picture of our sky from yesterday evening. There was a tornado friendly storm that blew by just south of us, but gave us an amazing view...it doesn't even look real. The entire sky was bright orange, as you can see.
We'll be heading to Ohio next month and hope to see some of our friends and family while we're there. We'll be doing some fishing/swimming on Lake Erie (weather permitting) and lots of driving.
Chad's band has a gig at the RollerGirls Fundraiser later this month so I'll be posting to let everyone know how it goes.
