more photos...

Spring is in full swing. On Easter I had the privilege of releasing some baby bunnies that I had raised and releasing this adult, who had been hit by a car, had a bunch of ticks on her, but otherwise was ok. We cleaned her up and figured she'd be better off in the wild. And here are a few pictures of Rory hanging out with Aunt Lynn's miniature horses, and in her new outfit from Grams that she got for Easter.

The hit-by-car bunny that was released on Easter...look closely and you'll see her.

Dancing in her new outfit from Grams...

Sniffing on a snowball bush flower that she had picked...

And posing while sitting with Mama...
We're trying to enjoy the weather although some storms are going to move through tomorrow. Our lettuce is coming up in our garden beds and our carrots are too. We've adopted what I think is a volunteer pumpkin plant and a volunteer potato plant as well. Our sage, thyme and comfrey is blooming and our yarrow is getting ready to. Hopefully we'll get in our new garden bed soon to plant okra, our tomato plants, our basil plants and maybe a little corn. We're going to try to grow some squash vines on trellises in front of our porch for shade over the summer. Hopefully we won't be getting a freak freeze now that everything is starting to grow.

We've also been trying out more recipes lately. Chad even baked (and tried) his first strawberry-rhubarb pie last night. We've been making weekly homemade pizzas, made all that much easier because of the bread maker we got from Uncle Sean and Aunt Lisa. We've been making homemade bread, found an awesome scone recipe, and tried a toasted sesame loaf with a rich mushroom sauce that Chad fell in love with. I'll try to put up posts/photos and recipes for anyone interested in one of our next posts.
